Glass skin and skin bounciness is all the rave in the beauty industry, but what's the secret to that youthful complexion and glow that so many Koreans have?
One thing to note is that none of these techniques and ingredients are overnight miracle workers! However, when incorporating said ingredients and tips into your skincare routine, the results can be quite dramatic.
1. Hyaluronic Acid
It's all in the name - not only is it super hydrating, but delivers a plumping effect on the skin as well as improves skin texture over time. The easiest way to prevent wrinkles is introducing high levels of moisture back into the skin after cleansing!
💦 We'd recommend the Isntree's Hyaluronic Acid collection, targeted at Dry Skin types.
2. Sunscreen (SPF)
When it comes to anti-ageing skincare, prevention is key. SPF should be used everyday and can be used from any age! Adopting anti-ageing preventative habits can drastically change the course of your skin health for the better. Any other products that you use can be counteracted by the damaged caused from UV rays, so SPF is used to protect the skin and allow other ingredients to thrive. It also gives your skin a chance to rest and regenerate!

3. Vitamin C
This brightening ingredient can help lighten pigmentation caused by the sun or ageing, also known as sun spots and ageing spots. It's also a powerful antioxidant which has been shown to work best with SPF to protect the skin from UV rays and oxidative damage. Using a serum containing Vitamin C can also prevent collagen loss from UV related damage, and stimulate collagen production.
🍋 Here's all of our skincare products infused with Vitamin C.
4. Retinoids
Retinoids are often considered as the 'holy grail' when it comes to anti-ageing ingredients. As a Vitamin A derived molecule, it workings with collagen to increase cell turnover, improve skin texture and discolouration. It's also highly recommended for those suffering from Acne-prone skin and hyperpigmentation due to it's multi-functional purpose.
What's important to note is that retinoids can cause the skin to become sensitive, and so you should look for another product that incorporates antioxidants and soothing ingredients that will strengthen the skin's barrier. Try out Purito's Centella Unscented Serum and let us know !
